The Beer Dabbler is a keen supporter of the craft beer community in Minnesota, exploring new ventures in the realms of food, beverages, events and media.
Grey Duck Media sought out 3five to produce a newly designed, responsive website capable of organizing and handling its products and events. Struggling with high bounce rates and low engagement rates, Grey Duck Media needed a site which would increase engagements and conversions, keeping people on The Beer Dabbler site and interacting with the content.
Addressing the Issues
The previous Beer Dabbler store used an outdated theme that was minimally branded and poorly organized. So our first task was to update the store’s design to a much more modern look to give the site the professional credibility it deserves. A clean, modern design coupled with clear and concise information made the site much more engaging and easy to consume. The Beer Dabbler also completely reshot their product photography which was enormously helpful in supporting our vision for the store’s overall look and feel.
The old store was also difficult to navigate and browse products. To fix this, we implemented a robust filtering system, helped restructure product collections and cleaned up the navigation.
The Beer Dabbler also managed a secondary website to promote their events. We took the opportunity to combine the 2 sites so they have only one website to manage. This cut down on their website hosting and maintenance costs and also allowed for better cross-promotion of products and events.
